Kenneth Sexton and Long Branch Ag Service did an outstanding job on our ranch to remove a heavy infestation of cactus, cedar and mesquite. The work was competed as promised and on time, Kenneth was very helpful in educating us on the process and expected results all of which proved to be accurate. Long Branch Ag Service has provided us with outstanding service since 2009. Our ranch was overgrown with huisache and mesquite making it impossible to maximize the number of cattle we ran per acre. Kenneth Sexton came out to our ranch and provided us with a long range plan to eradicate our brush problem. We have kept to the plan and have increased the amount of forge available for our cattle operation. We have utilized sheering, basal, and foliar applications depending on the size of the plant and time of year. Kenneth has made himself available to answer any questions and concerns regarding the chemical type, usage, and his application techniques. One of our concerns was the protection of large oak trees in our pastures. Kenneth has gone the extra mile to assure us that those trees were not harmed. They are a vital part of our pastures today providing the much needed shade to our increasing cattle herd. We have used Long Branch Ag Services in a wide range of services on our ranch including, but not limited to, repairing fences and miscellaneous welding.

 

Long Branch has done an outstanding job of spraying prickly pear, having sprayed in excess of 1200 acres for us over the last five years. Even though the property was a bit challenging with trees, boulders, and uneven, rocky terrain, they were able to adapt and prevail in a cost-effective manner. One example is how they hauled water on a trailer to cut down on travel time required to refill, thus holding the line on costs.

 

In addition to modifying one set of pens, Long Branch Ag Services built another set of pipe/cattle panel pens that are quite stout and functional. The cattle flow smoothly thru the pens, easily going into the chute or the load-out alley. Even visitors have commented very positively regarding these pens. Not only does Long Branch Ag Services have the capability to weld but they understand the psychology of livestock and the needs of the producer.

 

Voluntary repeat business when the customer has choices is the highest compliment that can be paid to a business organization. This is indeed the case in our situation.
